OSR2 CD-ROM Lost AutoRun capability

By:

Several people have reported that when a system-crash occurs while accessing your CD-ROM Drive, OSR2 loses it's AutoRun capability. CD's still work perfectly well but will no longer (auto)run themselves using the Autorun.inf file on the CD, they have to be manually started each time.

To recover the use of the AutoRun facility:

  1. Start the Registry Editor
  2. Go to HKEY_USERS \ .Default \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
  3. Double-click on NoDriveTypeAutoRun in the right-hand pane
  4. Change the value to 95 00 00 00
